Brief x A4A Projects

Good day, all. So yeah, week one of uni is officially done.. uhh.. I truly have no idea where time went. This week flied by so unnoticeably, feels like Monday was only yesterday, but really, it was 4 days ago?? Super weird, I hope this is a one time thing exclusive to the first week or something because I do not want everything to fly by like that, especially not with all these projects that are going to be thrown our way. Unintentionally, that worked as a sort of segway to today's post, I will take that, haha. I guess I could run down a list of first impressions and make some paragraphs about how this week went by and all but a) you do not really care and b) there is really nothing to say besides this might actually be the best experience I will ever have, the lecturers are so wonderful, the program is engaging and my course mates are possibly some of the most fun people I have ever met, there is a lot of potential here and I am so here for it, super excited. Will be moving to Bri

Portfolio Breakdown (Top 10 Favourite Pages/Intersections)

Good day, everyone. As I mentioned in my Summer Project post, I wanted (and was asked) to make a small compilation/breakdown post about my portfolio. In this post I will be showing off my favourite bits from my portfolio and providing reasons as to why I am the most satisfied with these pieces in particular. My previous post contained 2 flip books which were of my Official Arts Portfolio as well the Extension to my Official Arts Portfolio. I believe it works fine so if you wish, you may go back and flip through and see what other pieces of work they had in them. Generally I would say that to this day I am very satisfied with how my portfolio looks; each page was templated and edited by me, a lot of work went into preparing both the portfolio itself and the extension to it, which I would say adds to that feeling of satisfaction. Almost a year has passed since I made my portfolio, I have since changed a lot as both a person and an artist, I have gone through many challenges and as a resu

Summer Project

Good day. The start of university is less than a day away, in the upcoming 24 hours I will have had my first academic period as a student at UWE Bristol and I would be lying if I said I was not intimidated by that idea. It is rather scary because it seems like just a bit ago it was still months away and now I am sitting here struck by the realization that it is literally tomorrow. I still feel so not prepared to take it on but I promised myself that I would drop that mindset the moment I click on the link to join the first video conference with the lecturers and peers. Everything will be alright. As you can tell by the title of the post, I have decided to make a small roundup post about my summer project work that I prepared for uni. In this post I will be giving a brief explanation of what I was going for, commenting on the process and making a short summary with some conclusions as well as plans for what I would add to it to make it finalized. NOTE: There are still 3 parts that I ha

Countdown Until The Official Start Of University (+Other)

Good day. A couple of days ago I was met with a letter from UWE informing me about the inevitable start of the course. I must say, I have not had mixed feelings of this intensity for quite the while.. What made it even worse was the fact that if you clicked on the letter to open it up, the first thing you are met with is a massive countdown clock telling you how much time there is left until the day. Understandably, that is the hardest sweep below the belt to anyone who may be unsuspectingly opening up that letter. At the time of writing this post there are 5 days and 6 hours remaining and this knowledge may as well be the scariest thing at the moment. I feel so unprepared, there is still so much I want to (and need to) do but will probably not be able due to me being in the middle of the process of moving abroad + other. I am left mortified by the idea of underperforming in the beginning and leaving a terrible bad impression in the eyes of my professors. One might argue that ther

Anxiety

Good day. I have kind of went AWOL in the last week and I do apologize for that. Really thought I could be more active/productive this time around but guess it just is not in my blood. Though, to be fair, there really is no need to force out content, especially at a time like this. I have been super busy with carrying out errands and taking care of stuff before my departure to the UK. In this post I will be talking about my personal experience with anxiety and how it is affecting me at this point in time. This will mainly be venting and senseless rambling so if that is not your cup of tea, I understand if you stop reading past this point. Would be lying if I said it is not stressful. It is like you start doing something and then an additional 5 or so things pop up seemingly out of nowhere, which starts some sort of chain reaction and what you thought would be just 3 simple tasks now has become a mountain of things you have to take care of. It has most definitely been difficult these la
